  • Event Participation Information: Registration status, giveaway entries, referrals, surveys, polls, prize claims, Event participation, chat activity, and social interactions.
  • SMS Information: Mobile phone number, SMS subscription status, opt-in records, consent records, message interactions, and opt-out requests.

2. How We Use Information

We may use your information to:

  • Register you for and provide access to DHMP.
  • Provide access to Event streaming or other Event platforms.
  • Process purchases, donations, and orders through Shopify, Stripe, or other payment providers.
  • Fulfill and ship merchandise, swag boxes, prizes, or other Event materials.
  • Send Event-related emails through Brevo or other communication providers.
  • Send SMS messages when you have provided your mobile phone number and consented to receive text messages.
  • Send registration confirmations, schedule updates, time-sensitive reminders, deadlines, giveaway information, prize notifications, and other communications related to the Event.
  • Contact giveaway and prize winners.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Improve Event operations, marketing, content, and future events.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, or abuse of Event systems.
  • Comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

3. SMS and Text Messaging Privacy

If you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive SMS messages, we may use your number to send communications related to the Dental Hygiene Month Party.

These messages may include registration confirmations, Event reminders, schedule updates, time-sensitive deadlines, giveaway or prize notifications, and other Event-related communications.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase and is not required to attend DHMP, purchase merchandise or a swag box, make a donation, enter a giveaway, or win a prize.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

We may use service providers solely as necessary to deliver and support our messaging program. These providers may process information on our behalf but are not permitted to use SMS opt-in information or consent for their own marketing purposes.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

  • Sponsors or fulfillment partners when necessary to provide or fulfill a prize, offer, or Event benefit you have requested or won.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

The categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.

  • Transaction and payment records may be retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
  • Registration and Event participation information may be retained after the Event for operational, customer service, recordkeeping, and future Event purposes.
  • SMS consent and opt-out records may be retained as necessary to document communication preferences and compliance.
  • Content authorized for promotional or marketing use may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, except where applicable privacy laws provide otherwise.
